Great Outdoor Challenge 2008

GO! Challenge 2008 is the 3rd annual great outdoor adventure challenge for Venturers throughout Quebec. You will arrive at the rendezvous point (close to Tamaracouta Scout Reserve) on Saturday 27th September at 10AM. After event briefings and equipment checks you will embark on a combined hike and canoe trek with numerous activities and challenges along the way. We will also be adding a few new elements to this year's challenge.

Scouts Westmount will be holding its registration evening in Westmount Park Church Hall at the corner of Lansdowne and de Maisonneuve (parking lot entrance). Please come prepared with your youth's health information (medicare card number and expiry, date of last tetanus shot, physician contact info).

First 2nd Westmount Cub meeting

The 2ND Westmount Cub Pack will hold its first meeting of the year on Wednesday,September 10th at 6:30 pm. at Mountainside Church, corner The Boulevard and Lansdowne. Join us by the parking lot.
Invested Cubs should be in full uniform with their Cub book.
New cubs should wear suitable clothes and shoes for outdoor games.
Please bring a baggie since you will have something to take home.

2ND Westmount Cub Pack is in urgent need of more volunteer adults so any parents who would like to help out at the meeting are welcome to stay. If there are not enough adults to meet the ratio of 6 to 1 we will not be able to run the program. For more information on volunteering go to www.scouts.ca.

Scout Summer Camp at Tamaracouta

We are off to Camp Tamaracouta for our regular Summer Camp Saturday July 26-Saturday Aug 2 2008.
Scouts will choose their own program for morning activities and group activities will be in the afternoons.
Scouts will also plan, buy, cook and serve all meals during camp.
There is also interest in going to the water park and doing a canoe trip.
