Scouts Westmount Centennial Dinner Celebration Sat, Nov 28, 2009

On Saturday, November 28, Scouts Westmount invites the community to celebrate 100 years of the Scouting movement in Westmount. Dinner, music (featuring Northbrooke Nine), activities will run from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Victoria Hall, 4626 Sherbrooke St W. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children 12 and under. Tickets are available at the door.

Vous êtes invités à l'Hôtel de ville de Westmount à l'occasion de l'illumination du sapin de Noël le lundi 7 décembre prochain. Le programme commence à 18 h 30 au 4333, Sherbrooke O. dans la chambre du conseil avec des activités et la chorale feminine, Harmonia Westmount. Tous les jeunes sont invités à participer. Après l'illumination et chants à l'extérieur, des biscuits et du chocolat chaud seront servis au Boulingrin. Venez en famille. Un don de denrée nonpérissables est sugéré.
You are invited to the Westmount Christmas Tree Lighting at Westmount City Hall, 4333 Sherbrooke W. on December 7th at 6:30 pm. The program begins in the Council Chamber with activities by the City Council and Harmonia Westmount Women's Choir. All the children are welcome to join in. After the lighting ceremony and carols outside everyone is invited to enjoy cookies served with hot chocolate at the Lawn Bowling Club House. Bring the whole family. A donation of non-perishable food is suggested.

Olympic Torch in Westmount / La flamme olympique à Westmount
Submitted by admin on Thu, 11/26/2009 - 06:02.On December 10, join the celebration of the Olympic Torch relay, as the flame arrives in Westmount. There will be Westmount's Wacky Olympics in front of City Hall (4333 Sherbrooke W), marshmallow roasting, hotdogs, crafts, and more. Scouts are invited to create a banner to wave as the flame passes by. Banners will be judged and the group with the best one will be awarded the Olympic Flame flag that is flying in front of City Hall. Westmount Park Akela and Commissioner Mang-O are on the organizing committee.
Le 10 décembre, joignez-vous aux célébrations du relais de la flamme olympique à l’arrivée de la flamme à Westmount. Des Jeux olympics farfelus auront lieu en face de l'Hôtel de ville (4333,Sherbrooke O) à partir de 16h. Les scouts sont invités à créer une bannière. Toutes les bannières seront jugées et le groupe qui a la ganante aura le drapeau de la flamme olympique de la ville de Westmount.
Il y aura aussi des guimauves à griller, des hotdogs, du bricolage.
