186th St Patrick's Day Parade
Submitted by Virginia on Mon, 03/08/2010 - 17:31.Everyone is invited to be part of the Westmount contingent in the Montreal St Patrick's Day parade on Sunday March 14. A bus will leave Victoria Hall, 4626 Sherbrooke St W at 11:30 am to take participants to the float. Participants can also make their way on their own to the float on René-Lévesque Blvd (Section G) between Crescent & Mountain St. Please arrive by noon dressed warmly, wearing your neckerchief and something green. Refreshments will be provided (but there are no washroom facilities on board). Participants can walk or ride on the float (please reserve your spot with your leader if you wish to ride). The bus will return to Westmount after the parade around 4 pm.
Stoney Point Area Founder's Day Celebration - Tues 23 Feb 2010

All Scouting and Guiding groups in the Stoney Point and Monklands areas are invited to celebrate the birthday of Baden-Powell, founder of the Scouting movement, on Tuesday, February 23 at Montreal West United Church at 6:15 pm. Family and friends are welcome.

2ND Westmount Founder's Day Mountainside Sunday Service February 21

Friends and family are invited to join 2ND Westmount's sponsor, Mountainside United church at a special church service to commemorate Westmount Scouting's centennial on Sunday, February 21. It is important that the Scouts show their appreciation of the support the church gives the group by showing up in large numbers. There will be treats after the service and a chance to chat with members of the congregation.
All Scout members should be at the church by 10:30 am in full uniform. Please speak to Neil to see how you can participate.
Canadian Jamboree CJ'07 - Jul 25 to Aug 2

Summer Camp for Cubs: 25-31 Jul 2010
Submitted by admin on Fri, 01/29/2010 - 14:39.Cubs from both Westmount Park and 2nd Westmount are invited to a week-long (6 nights) sleepover camp at Camp Jackson Dodds. We will be going from Sunday, July 25th to Saturday, July 31st. All interested cubs should contact their leader.

Camp Jackson Dodds offers a fully packed outdoor program, focusing on nature, badges, crafts, watersports and most importantly, FUN! Our program is THEME based (this year's theme is THE JUNGLE BOOK) and our dynamic staff are geared to provide the optimum level of fun and learning. The camp sessions are 6 days, and includes everything a camp should have; a fully animated program, a beautiful dining hall catering 3 hot meals a day, a craft center, a beautiful waterfront, playing fields, campfire areas, an on-site nurse and covered sleeping facilities.
Cost is $325. Parents are responsible for transporting the youth to and from camp. Camp is 60 minutes (65 km) from Westmount. Youth must be dropped off at camp on Sunday at 2pm. Youth must be picked up from camp on Saturday at 10am (awards and closing at 9h45 - parents welcome).
